What do you think of Boston Dynamics Big Dog running on gasoline?

If this robot is designed to carry supplies for soldiers, first, it's awfully small (size dog) and, secondly, if the soldier is released on a mission in the middle of Whoop Whoop, where would he find the essence to feed? Is it better to run on solar energy? Of course, I admit I know absolutely nothing about the military tactics, and I want to know. It just seems weird, but I do not know about the reliability of solar energy in a state of origin.

Solar power is horribly unreliable. Gas is a safe source of energy and fire is generally available wherever humans HABITAT. I am sure that manufacturers of this device have debated the source of energy long enough to know who would be most reliable. I would not try to anticipate their decisions without having been to these meetings.
