For breeders, do you recommend for dry or canned puppy food for a dog pregnant?
I have Shelties and I gave Science Diet puppy when they are pregnant and lactating women. However, my wife is being fussy right now. It's 33 days along. I thought I would can add canned puppy food (Science Diet) with hard but I fear it will probably play just soft foods. I am a firm believer that food Dry is better for your dogs, especially their teeth. I give my dogs Wheat Germ Oil and tablets of brewer's yeast as a supplement. What you do feed your pregnant and nursing dogs? And what about smaller when they are weaned? I just gives the wetted Science Diet puppy and say new owners mix little by little as the food of their choice. My Man is not really wanting to eat much of her food but she gobbles down a Milkbone and ate special food keeps my old cat to her kidneys (she is for sure, I asked the vet). I think it is important that she eats enough at this time.
Croquettes with a casual may be a little something to make him feel special. Canned make her have diarrhea.
