Does anyone know of a good place in Houston, TX where I can leave my dog for 1 week?
I’m looking for a boarding place for my dog. She’s 7 months old and it is the first time I’m leaving her… I’ve looked at so many places online but I’m nor sure which one I can trust. If you are from Houston, TX, and know of a good place, please help me!!!
I am not from Texas, I live in Chicago, but I found a great home to leave my dog at when I went on vacation through a website www.care.com
you can post an ad for dog care, childcare, etc. for people who live in however many miles of your zip code.
example: I have a 7 month old puppy that needs a nice home to stay at for 1 week in august. She’s still a puppy and so she needs lots of exercise. please include how much you charge/night.
It is free to post the ad but if you want to contact anybody who responds you have to pay $25/month but can cancel (no long term contract). that includes free background checks of anyone who responds to your ad.
I received almost 50 responses to my ad in 1 week, some people sounded weird, some people asked for $75/night, but I ended up meeting with this young girl who lived a few blocks away from me, she met my dog and everything worked out perfect!! (I responded to about 15 of all the responses based on price, what they seemed capable of doing in terms of exercise and proximity to my place).
anyway, I know I sound like I work for this website….haha I don’t, just had a very positive experience and wanted to pass it along.
