Are you ready to start choosing dog names for a new puppy in your life? Dog names are not hard to find, especially if you want keep up with the Jones and choose among the most popular dog names. Believe it or not, Rover and Spot are not even on the list of dog names most popular currently the United States.

Animal Shelter (. Org) tells us that the most popular dog names today are personal names. Pet owners avoid now named the names of their cute dogs. More than half of dog owners are now choosing dog names as well they would do their children's names, while only about one fifth of using the traditional names such as soft or dog Blackie, or names that describe the breed of dog or eyes. The top 10 names on the list Animal Shelter are:

For Boy Dogs
Max, Jake, Buddy, Bear, Bailey, Shadow, Sam, Lucky, Rocky and Buster.

For Girl Dogs
Maggie, Bear, Molly, Shadow, Lady, Sadie, Lucky, Lucy, Daisy and Brandy.

It seems that the wonderful people at Pet Place agreement about popular dog names go to humans (pun intended). Here he names the most popular dog according Pet Place:

For Boy Dogs
Max, Buddy, Jake, Rocky, Bailey, Buster, Cody, Charlie, Bear, and Jack.

Have you found the popular dog name that you like best? I am sure you have at least examined some of these names, but you may not be able to use because all your neighbors and family pets have the best ones are taken. If this happens, you will need to be creative and offer your dog names.
