Is it normal for an American Eskimo dog to shed so you can see their skin?

My dog has recently started to pay the first layer for the summer, and get his coat is so thin you can see his skin. Is this normal or it may be and the endocrine system or problem lack of vitamins?

I have an Akita who also "blows" their coat twice a year. I never saw the skin. It should blow into pieces and where the fur comes out, it should always be fur Nova below. That does not sound right. I would contact your veterinarian to discuss. Although Luck!
